Welcome to the home page for Pennridge Senior Connie Mack!
Pennridge pulled out a tough win against Central Bucks on Sunday
to finish the season 13-2 and locked up first place. Central
Bucks jumped on Dave Keeler early to build a 3-0 lead. The
momentum of the game completely changed in the bottom of the 3rd
though as Jason Walters belted his 3rd home run of the season, a
grand slam, to put Pennridge up 4-3.
Pennridge picked up two more important runs in the bottom of the
6th. The first run was manufactured as Chris Hellings drew a
one out walk and then had Eric Baker pinch run for him. Baker
stole second and then Steve Eisenhauer came up with a big two
out single to drive him in. After a walk to Rinehimer, Jason
Rhoades hit a ground ball to second that was booted and Terry
Baker, who was pinch running for Eisenhauer, scored from second
to give Pennridge a 6-3 lead going into the top of the 7th.
Central Bucks would not go quietly as they managed to score 2
themselves in the 7th inning. Keeler finally got Becker to
ground out to end the game.
The playoffs begin on Sunday as Pennridge gets a rematch against
one of the teams that beat them this year, Nor-Gwyn-2.
